Further Information / Detailed Tour Description

Our private full day tour in Delphi starts with driving towards Viotia Prefecture. Passing outside the capital of Viotia prefecture, Livadia, we arrive for a short stop/visit to the traditional village of Arachova, which is located at the foot of mount Parnassus.

We then reach to "the center of the world" – as it was regarded by the ancients – the famous Sanctuary of Delphi with the worldwide known Oracle. You will wander through the archaeological area admiring the Temple of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Polygonal wall, the Treasury of the Siphnians, the Stoa of the Athenians, the ancient theater, the Sacred Way, the ancient Gymnasium, the Castalian Spring, the ancient Stadium & the Tholos of Athena Pronaia.

Time for a traditional Greek lunch in the town of Delphi & your knowledge will be complemented with the visit to the archaeological museum, where you will follow the history of the most famous ancient oracle & you will admire sculpture, statues & minor objects donated to the sanctuary. Our private tour reaches to the end with our returning back to the starting point.
